The 1982 Omega Seamaster Quartz Ref. 196.0251 stands out as a refined two tone design from Omega’s early 1980s quartz era. Its gold and stainless steel case is paired with a matching two tone bracelet, giving the watch a balanced mix of elegance and everyday versatility. The proportions follow the clean, angular aesthetic typical of this period, offering a distinctive vintage character without feeling dated.
Its white dial brings a crisp, understated look, complemented by applied gold tone markers and matching hands that tie in with the case accents. A date window at 3 o’clock adds useful functionality while keeping the layout clean. The overall presentation is bright, refined and effortlessly wearable, classic Omega styling at its simplest.
Inside is Omega’s reliable 1430 quartz movement, delivering precise and low maintenance performance consistent with the brand’s transition into high quality electronic watches during the era. With its two tone construction and crisp white dial, this Ref. 196.0251 is a charming example of early 80s Omega design and a great piece for collectors who appreciate subtle vintage elegance.
